A fascinating group of 6 x Rare 1928 RP Postcards of the R100 Airship Being Built inc Notes.  The photographs document various stages in the building of Britain's pioneering rigid airship and provide an excellent visual record of one of the most ambitious engineering projects of the inter-war period. Particularly appealing is the fact that the original owner has handwritten notes to the reverse of the cards, recording details such as dimensions and other observations relating to the airship, adding further historical interest and contemporary context.All six postcards are original period photographs, not modern reproductions. They remain in good overall condition for their age, with expected light signs of handling and storage.
