Hand Signed 1930s Trim Tennis Postcard Christian Boussus - As shown in the photos has some lightish wear around the edges and appears slightly curled but that often happens with old Real Photo postcards when they are in warm air and will be fine once in an album/sleeve. A scarce hand-signed Trim real photo postcard featuring French tennis player Christian Boussus. One of France's leading players during the 1920s and 1930s, Boussus enjoyed considerable success on the international stage, finishing runner-up in the 1931 French Championships and winning the Mixed Doubles title at the Australian Championships in 1935. He also made a number of deep runs at Wimbledon and represented France in Davis Cup competition during an era when French tennis was among the strongest in the world. Trim photographic postcards are highly collectable and remain one of the most popular postcard series featuring leading sporting personalities of the era. The addition of Boussus's signature makes this an attractive item for collectors of tennis memorabilia, sporting autographs, Grand Slam history and vintage postcards from the golden age of the sport.
