Hand Signed 1930s Trim Tennis Postcard Jacques Brugnon - As shown in the photos there is some minor damage to the right-hand edge on the reverse and the bottom edge on the front, and the postcard appears slightly curled but that often happens with old Real Photo postcards when they are in warm air and will be fine once in an album/sleeve. A scarce hand-signed Trim real photo postcard featuring French tennis star Jacques Brugnon. Nicknamed "Toto", Brugnon was one of the famous "Four Musketeers" of French tennis, alongside René Lacoste, Henri Cochet and Jean Borotra, a group that dominated international tennis during the late 1920s and early 1930s. Renowned particularly for his doubles play, Brugnon won numerous major titles and helped establish France as the leading tennis nation of the era. Trim photographic postcards are highly collectable and remain one of the most popular postcard series featuring leading sporting personalities of the period. The addition of Brugnon's signature makes this a particularly desirable example for collectors of tennis memorabilia, sporting autographs, Grand Slam history, French tennis and vintage postcards from the golden age of the sport.
